The Courses tab is where course providers can register their courses. The agents have access to these courses and they can offer them to students.

The system distinguishes between 2 types of courses: template courses and actual courses.

Template course is a concept that is only used during the course planning phase. Template courses define several actual courses with all the same parameters but with different schedules (eg. the same course starting every second week). Template courses are only used during the planning phase when students apply to courses. After a student applies to a template courses and chooses one of its starting dates the system creates an actual course and the student is linked to that actual course.

An actual course in contrast does have one fixed starting date, end date and duration. Students are connected to actual courses but not to template courses.

The user interface on the Courses tab is split in two: on the left site is the course list and the Course properties form. The properties form is used to edit the selected course or to add a new course while the role of the list is to display them all or only a filtered set.

On the right site are windows for entering further information related to the course selected on the left. Different windows are available for actual courses and template courses. Actual courses have a Course Fees, a Supplements and a Students window (which is split into sections containing Documents and a Chat - but these will be described later). Template courses have a Supplements and a Schedule window.
