The Courses tab is where course providers can register their courses. The agents have access to these courses and they can offer them to students.
The system distinguishes between 2 types of courses: template courses and single courses. If the course you enter is a one-date course (eg a Teacher training course with one date only), then use the Single course type. If the course runs on multiple occasions, use the Course templates.
Template course is a concept that is only used during the course planning phase. Template courses define several single courses with all the same parameters but with different schedules. They can start on different dates or can also have a recurring schedule and start every week on the same weekday. Template courses are only used during the planning phase when students apply to courses. When a student is applying to a template courses and has chosen one of its starting dates the system is creating an single course based on the template and the student is linked to the created single course.
A single course is a one-date course that has one fixed starting date, end date and duration. Students are connected to single courses but not to template courses.
The user interface on the Courses tab is split in two: on the left site is the course list and the Course properties form. The properties form is used to edit the course selected in the list or to add a new course while the role of the list is to display them all or only a filtered set.
On the right site are windows for entering further information related to the course selected on the left. Different windows are available for single courses and template courses.
Single courses have a Course Fees, a Supplements and a Students window (which is split into sections containing Documents and a Chat. The Students window will be described in later phase).
Template courses have a Supplements and a Schedule window.
